The Dyer Care Center

A First-of-its-Kind Crisis Care Facility in Prince George's County

The Dyer Care Center (DCC) is a 24/7/365 facility always open to walk-ins in Prince George’s County, MD; offering short-term (up to 23 hours), personalized emergency crisis services for residents facing mental health and/or substance use challenges.

The DCC creates healthier, safer communities by providing critical, often lifesaving care to residents in crisis. The DCC operates under the four core principles of RI International: 

  • Safety 
  • Peer-Powered Services 
  • Rapid Engagement
  • General Guest Admission
  • Performance Outcomes

The MRT is an emergency mental health service that provides immediate response for anyone in Prince George’s County.

If you live in Prince George’s County and are experiencing a mental health emergency, you can call the Mobile Response Team. This service is for residents who:

  • Are experiencing a behavioral, emotional, psychiatric, or substance use emergency crisis
  • May be a danger to themselves or others 
  • Are unwilling or unable to seek help for themselves
